I’m Michael Irvin. No, not the Dallas Cowboy’s football player. I’m the guy in Kansas City who has raised three sons and is happily married and living in the suburbs. I’ve done a lot of things in my life. I’ve been a carpenter and remodeler for a couple of decades. I’ve tried being an insurance salesman and I even sold grain bins and metal buildings for a short time. For the past twenty years I’ve been getting an education and learning to be the best I can be. I know that sounds cliché, but it’s true. In 1988 I started college at the encouragement of my first wife who I was married to for 33 years. I graduated in 1995 with a double major in Graphic Design and Illustration.
In 2005 B.J., my first wife, was killed in an auto accident. This changed my life dramatically and got me to thinking about the rest of my life. I got back on the horse, got remarried to a wonderful woman and moved back to the city. Soon I decided to really shake things up and become a full time freelancer. That was a several years ago now, and I haven’t looked back.
As a designer and illustrator I had worked for a variety of agencies in the Kansas City Metro area. With that experience I have created a much needed service for small businesses…Creative Project Manager. Most small businesses cannot afford the services of an agency nor do they have the resources to hire an in-house staff to do their marketing and advertising. I offer an alternative. An as needed, solution that provides small businesses the services they need at a lower overall cost.
But, business is not my only interest. I have opinions and thoughts about a lot of things in life. If you stick around you might find some interesting thinking that you may or may not agree with. I’ll try to kept it stimulating and interesting. My goal is to give the best of me to the public. Please feel free to comment and discuss. I really enjoy a good conversation, especially when it leads to new friendships.
Thanks for reading my blog. I look forward to the years ahead as I think out loud in public.
I’ve been in this business for over 20 years. I have the knowledge, expertise, and work ethic to get whatever needs to be done accomplished.
